Wakefield NASUWT Home

Welcome to the Wakefield NASUWT website, designed for the benefit of NASUWT teachers across the area. Its purpose is to keep members up to date with information on NASUWT activities locally and to address issues that arise both locally and nationally in the teaching profession. If you are not in a union and are interested in joining the NASUWT or to find out more about why it is important to be part of a union as a teacher and to discover more about the role the NASUWT plays both locally and nationally, please click here.   Any teacher joining the NASUWT for the first time will receive 12 months’ FREE membership, providing they agree to make future payments by direct debit and provide bank details.

Join the NASUWT online or call our Membership Team on 03330 145550.

The cost for a teacher working full time is £15.53 a month or £186.40 a year and less for part-time teachers, depending on the contracted hours of work.

It is important to keep us informed of any changes to your circumstances. If you reduce or increase your hours, please contact the Membership Team on 03330 145550 to ensure you are paying the correct subscription rate.

There are no hidden fees or local levies so you can rest assured that the NASUWT, the teachers’ union, is the cheapest and best value for money

A Voice in Every Workplace

With the uncertain times we now find ourselves in, it is important, more now than ever, that the NASUWT has a voice in every workplace so that we can keep members fully up to date with all that is happening in educational legislation.

If you do not have a NASUWT representative in school, why not step up and become one?
